Daniel Andrews’ Ambulance plan looks more like a glossy plan for another plan.
Labor’s version of an ‘action plan’ is to ask someone else (the Board) to ‘develop a set of milestones’ to work around some ‘core principles’ to be monitored by another committee.*
Daniel Andrews came to office promising to fix what he called ‘the Ambulance crisis’ but since then we’ve seen no great change in ambulance response times and Ambulance Emergency Department transfer times have significantly declined.
If Daniel Andrews hadn’t wasted over $1.1 billion on tearing up the East West Link contract he could have built an entire new hospital like the Royal Children’s Hospital or employed hundreds of new paramedics across Victoria for years to come.
